BCBS accepts middle school students in grades five through eight. If you would like to be considered for enrollment, please complete the application process below. For more information, please visit our website, buffalocreekboysschool.org or call 540-463-7785.
We have a three-step application process to be completed at the specified time on your application. Full and timely completion of the application process enhances your son’s chance in being admitted to BCBS.
We do not discriminate based on race or national origin.
Once a student has been approved for enrollment at BCBS, families will be notified by phone or mail. In order to reserve a student’s placement, the forms and fees listed below must be submitted within ten days of the acceptance notification.
An $800 deposit is due within 10 days of acceptance notice. Of that amount, $200 is non-refundable, only if the student decides to not enroll. The full amount is refunded at the end of the academic school year if all accounts are paid.
Financial assistance is available to you in two ways. One is the Education Improvement “Tax Credits Scholarship” Program (TCS). If your family income is less than 300% of the federal poverty line ($72,000 for a family of four), then you are likely eligible.
Other assistance is available by applying for the BCBS tuition grant. Grants will be awarded according to the school boards’ discretion and the availability of funds.
2018 Tax Savings
The new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has expanded the use of 529 plans – accounts that allow savers to accumulate interest on a tax-free basis – to include elementary and secondary school expenses at public, private, or religious institutions. Individuals can take up to $10,000 in distributions annually from their 529 plan. Please see your tax advisor to clarify rules for Virginia.
